| Questions have to be asked as to why this site was not earmarked for potential use as a school or for infra-structure use. I queried this when the town plan was submitted but never got a single acknowledgment. As Cllr Dennison explained in a recent post, they have to 'zone' sites. But as is being revealed all too late, ideal sites for schools and public infra structure have been passed over with no real explanation of discussion. Questions and in fact a full enquiry needs to be instigated at the integrity and professionalism as well as the contacts between officers, councillors and developers and their agents as all these "done deals" cannot be coincidence every time. This town is being treated as some sort of pawn in a game and the losers are all the long term residents and small businesses. Presumably the site falls in the St Paul's Conservation area and if not needs to be included pronto. |
