So one of the other two I guess

I wouldn't want to jinx the process by being more specific as that would be unfair but the issue will be resolved in September.  And I would encourage other posters not to add personal judgements until then in case it prejudices matters - suffice surely that all senior officers of the Council have or are going through a competitive process.
