| Err there are/were several assistant directors, I don't know how much any get paid off hand but none have been appointed thus far and only one remains in contention for an asssistant director role - the others (two I think) have agreed terms and timetables for leaving the organisation. Could I add though, that while I support the reorganisation of the Council and proposed that all senior posts should be externally advertised so that we get a tough but honest test ahead of appointments, the Council and by extension residents are also losing a good deal of talent some of which was admittedly well hidden. A culture of arrogance and self-satisfaction, of being distant, immune and even hostle to external influence has bedevilled Hounslow and had to end, but I for one regret that we are also losing some senior and experienced staff many of whom might in easier times have been redeemed and some who have done nothing but dedicate their time to serving residents to the best of their ability. |
