| Begs the question - how do you know that those 'candidates' are prime for departure ?. Are you in a position to make such statements, are you a qualified planner, member of the Royal Town Planning Institute etc ?. Not offering any view on whether I agree or disagree with you, but always goes back to my points about how many aspects of planning are based on subjective judgement rather than clear right or wrong, and, based on first hand experience, the public will often suggest that a Planning Officer isn't good at their job simply because they don't like a decision, rather than because they have done anything actually 'wrong'. Just to add balance, I don't automatically assume that a qualified planner and/or a member of the RTPI couldn't be 'prime for departure', but it's one of these sweeping statements without any explanation/justification to back it up. |
