| Don't know why you're getting so het up! Of course it used to be the Joint Committee, exactly as you say, which 'had responsibility, made joint decisions, etc', but all of us who attended those meetings saw the lack of progress caused by the fact that it was easy for one council to delay, blame the other, etc. etc. Then we had the Regeneration Board, still suffering from the same problem of joint control. We await to see what new committee will emerge next. I never said people tried to make party political points at the meetings. It's people outside - including you in your previous posting - who bring politics into it, when Gunnersbury in fact has suffered under all administrations. People blame the new Conservative administration, others blame the old Labour administration, people accuse Ann Keen of jumping on the bandwagon (she is the local MP - who else is one supposed to approach?)The words Labour and Conservative should be banned from all discussions about the future of Gunnersbury Park. Everyone should be pulling i the same direction to try to save the park, irrespective of their political affiliations. I'm sorry if I didn't make myself clear before. Bela |
