| It's good to see that your utter contempt for the residents of the Worton estate and their wishes has not abated after all these years Vanessa, and notwithstanding the fact that we disagree on this particular issue I have nothing but admiration for your determination not to give into them even at the cost of your council seat. I am glad you have raised the issue of Brabazon, because it provides the impartial observer with an interesting comparison between my way of doing things and the New Labour way. On Brabazon I have established contact with the residents and will shortly be meeting them to try to establish precisely what their concerns are and to see where the plans can be adjusted accordingly. I have instructed Hounslow Homes that we should do absolutely everything we can to satisfy the existing residents on the estate and to work with them rather than against them. By contrast your policy on Worton was first say nothing, then try to deceive residents with a Mugabean "survey" which was worded in such a way that it could only possibly deliver the answer you wanted, then, when that and all else failed, subject them all to verbal abuse. Incidentally, I understand the plans for New Build on the Brabazon - much needed social housing, not the "millionares (sic) housing estate" of Ellar/K££n mythology (maybe Ann is hoping the taxpayer will shell out again and buy her one as the price of her support?) - are being opposed by New Labour. How do you square that one Vanessa? |
