| Where's the secret? The council plan has been subject of two public consultations and full planning. Brentford has an abundance of houseboats in the canal, the rivers Brent and Thames, and on Lots Ait. Having some more by Waterman's Park, properly managed, providing accommodation and generating much needed income for the community seems a pretty good plan to me. To Alex's point about the stretch from Kew Bridge to Watermans: I sort of take the point about fences but I actually find it rather a special place and I don't mind not being able to see the river at all points. |
