"You are no doubt correct about the river view being equally obscured by whatever the Council have up their sleeve and it may surprise you to know that I am not entirely in favour of the Council's proposals." I'm not entirely in favour of the Concils's proposals either, but I have to note that the Council proposed layout will allow to see some of the river, as boats (which will have to be smaller/shorter to fit the moorings) will be located at an angle. The boaters proposal will allow boats to be moored parallel to the bank, which will allow mooring 100 yard long high monsters and mooring a number of boats next to each other (which is exactly what's happening with other moorings of this kind), and all the general public will be able to see is a narrow strip of water between the edge and the nearest boat. |
