There is one coming from the south, it's straight after the Worton Road traffic lights and just before the bus stop. But the warning is meaningless, that sign says "new layout ahead" yet 50 yards later there's the "right turn ahead" sign which by definition suggests that there isn't a roundabout. The issues could be easily solved. (1) Stick a red triangular roundabout ahead sign just after the Worton Road traffic lights. (2) Remove the 'right turn ahead' sign as it's not longer correct. (3) Paint solid hatchings on the carriageway to provide a vehicle lane that's a standard width, instead of current lane which is approx. 1.66 times wider than any lane I've ever seen. I totally agree about drivers being idiots, but at the same time this job simply hasn't been coordinated/implemented in a proper fashion. |
