I guess we differ on that aspect Sara, because I've no problem with the Worton Road junction comprising two lanes which can both go northbound - if the right hand lane was right turn only the queues would be huge and there's no reason why those two lanes shouldn't be able to merge safely into one before you get to the new mini-roundabout. But the essential need is for road markings after the Worton Road junction to gradually but effectively reduce the two lanes down to 1 lane, so that both drivers don't try to force their way down an imaginary outside lane to turn right , and so that other drivers don't encroach into the cycleway. Plus the removal of the erroneous "right turn ahead" sign and an earlier "roundabout ahead" triangular warning sign. It ain't rocket science... |
