Huw With great respect I did not calculate that a very close friend and drinking buddy of a Labour councillor, who has received assistance from that councillor and who has only very recently had letters published in a local newspaper in support of the Labour administration at the Council, would emerge as a UKIP candidate. Neither that another similarly close friend and neighbour of the same councillor who has posted on this and the Chiswick forum numerous times in support of Labour, Councillor Sampson and the former Labour MP and in stark opposition to UKIP policy would emerge alongside her as another. Nor that UKIP would be desperate and dumb enough, knowing that they are Labour ringers, to field them as candidates regardless. John is wrong to assume, if indeed he is assuming, that I have not pursued and am not pursuing the correct channels through which to investigate this housing issue further. What I have published are the bare facts that I currently have available and I have taken great care not to say anything on this matter that I could not substantiate in the event of any action being taken against me. |
