Speaking with a lawyer today, it seems to be another example of the misuse of RIPA powers. There certainly seems to be some manipulation of the police who should not have done anymore than have a chat with Mr Slattery. He does have some options which hopefully will be provided to him by a good solicitor should it come to that. Not only that but there were plenty of witnesses.  Misuse of Ripa laws is something we should all write to our MP about as it is being used to silence people who are exercising their right to object to things like councils railroading through questionable policies.
