That makes me feel sick to the pit of my stomach. A few years ago a very large number of local Labour activists, several of them councillors, thought it would be a jolly jape to turn up en masse and have a group photo taken outside my kitchen window, which was later posted triumphantly on Twitter. The message was clear - there's more of us than you, our gang is bigger than your gang so watch your step. My children were in their early teens or younger at the time. And remember, I wasn't the Leader of the London Borough of Hounslow - just a resident standing up for the rights of other residents. I cannot recall whether or not Councillor Curran was one the people involved, but he has had a long time since to condemn this stunt and in all that time I've heard not a peep to suggest that his response to it was anything other than complete approval. Maybe I should have called the police? Or set some of the locals on them. |
