Further to Adam Beamish's comments - I do know something you don't. Paul Slattery (for it is he, see separate article) did not resist arrest, but rather invited them to have a cup of tea. There is no cannabis farm in his loft (besides they would have had to have had a warrant - which they didn't). Of course councillors do not have power over the police, but they do have influence especially as a Leader of the Council. As to "basic common sense" that is not always present in either police or council. |
