| Robin As I understand it, Simon is correct. What difference might it make as to where the home is Plymouth? Forcibly removing people from their family homes, especially when they have lived there for a long time can sometimes have very adverse effects. That is why I think the state does not have a law to force people out. Instead legal inducements are offered, but no one is forced to accept them. What should have happened as we all know, was for the Labour party to have been genuinely prudent and, 13 years ago, introduced a really major housebuilding campaign as happened last during the Tory years after the war. Presott had the idea but he lost it. That was unforgiveable, especially as it would have created a lot more employment as well as relieved some of our social ills. |
