| The problem is - as it has always been - there is no really fair system for housing allocations. Whatever system you come up with always seems to disadvantage someone. What we really need is a massive council house building programme, not housing associations, they are rubbish landlords. Say what you like but local authorities built good, solid homes, why Thatcher took it into her head to stop this and not allow councils to build to replace the properties lost to 'Right to Buy' is something I never understood. |
