The same problem in Grove Park with a few people misusing the recycling bank area. It was very disappointing to hear of no response from local Councillors. There seems to be a lack of co-ordination between LBH and HH on that one and a question of who takes responsibility for what. Looks like it needs some heads banging together. Just clearing up is not the answer - those misusing by fly-tipping need to be apprehended - and not just accepted. The facility will end up being lost because of those few people who can't and won't be bothered to deal with their waste in the appropriate way. This will be an inconvenience to those that do. Recycling sites are being closed across the country because Councils can't afford to keep them all running once they have improved their kerbside recycling collections. If your management company doesn't provide the recycling that you want why not contact the Council and your management company. Some Councils offer a discounted recycling collection in order to encourage a swap to a greater ratio of recycling bins to residual waste bins. The I-Phone app to report the problem looks like a good idea for those who are able to use it. |
