| Many people use this fine Morrisons facility Philippa...and for many different reasons.... and it's very handy. Easy car access, open 24/7, and well laid out. It maybe tidy most of the time... but scallywags will soon be arriving to create an eyesore. I visit there at least once a week and see a dreadful mess on many occasions but not everytime. The site is unsupervised unfortunately... just like the Tesco Recycling facility at Osterley....and so a minority of people just dump and run. Morrisons staff clear the mess up..., what a shock for them on arrival each morning... and they have to use their own waste skips for clutter that cannot be recycled. If only the sole light the could have it's faulty bulb changed after it's months of darkness. If only the skips were more clearly and correctly labelled. When the enormous lorry arrives to collect the bins the poor chap and his assistant have a right one task clearing the mess. They do well...but my criticism and disgust is the state of the bins accepting glass. They are so filthy..and a health hazard...that I like to think that Brentford Councillors wouldn't tolerate such a dirty facility..but they do. Cardboard bins clearly state that boxes should be collapsed. Sadly Joe Bloggs doesn't understand that. And as for Brentford's flytippers (do a Google search)... well they add to the recycling problem..and if you report it.. nothing seemingly gets done. |
