Jim I have always found these supermarket facilities very useful and there are many people who have little space to live in and find that it helps being able to leave a lot of packaging here when they visit to buy more food... and its packaging. Most packaging in the UK is designed to be recycled now - there are far fewer packaging solutions which are mixed material. I too can't comprehend how people find it difficult to flatten a box. Maybe someone should give demonstrations! Generally all you have to do is undo the bottom. Surely the problem with the light is for Morrisons to sort out. Perhaps LBH should be asking Mr Pickles for a grant for washing their recycling banks and putting the new recycling signs on them as well. Yes I remember Brentford's fly-tippers too well. You'll have seen that Ealing has CCTV pictures up of fly-tippers who have been prosecuted. Sainsbury's in Chiswick has a sign by the recycling banks warning people not to fly-tip as they will be prosecuted. |
