Well we all know it's family houses that are really needed and vital for a proper cohesive district. But also with the population burgeoning and ageing we need sheltered housing and almshouses and easy access homes as well. If they were going to build almshouses along Lionel Road for the elderly of Brentford and South Ealing who could move out of homes that have become too big for them, then that would be fine. A home with a park view and a small garden would be ideal for many to eek out their days locally. Any other development absolutely No. But these units could also be for older residents and disabled residents and given a bit of creative design could be really nice homes for older people who are still active and want to stay in their home district. BUt the rub is it won't happen. Developers won't make money and they would sooner cut their arms off than conceed to a benevolent idea |
