How hilarious that Cllr Lambert automatically describes anyone who disagrees with him as a Tory. Now that really is the sign of a lazy mind. Is he stupid or just ignoring the facts? Can he explain why Brentford had a councillor for three years who clearly had no interest in being a councillor? Did no casework and rarely attended meetings, yet picked up his allowance? But that same councillor was the son of a friend of the council leader. Nothing to see there, obviously, and no explanation forthcoming. Then there are the reports of planning committee members being leant on to vote ‘in the right way’, even by the sainted late Steve Curran. Clearly Lambert still lives in the socialist utopia Labour believers think they can create, despite Al thr evidence to the contrary. And the example I cited originally was Lutfur Rahman in Tower Hamlets. If there’s corruption there then it’s in other local authorities too, and has been for decades (Derek Hatton, anyone?) https://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/lutfur-rahman-tower-hamlets-mayor-aspire-b1205024.html |
