| I don't agree re the 'limited and odd selection of books'. Apart from books there were board games, a selection of soft toys (Gruffalos etc) to go with children's books, a number of gift items, cards and wrapping paper. I thought it was a wonderful shop and apart from buying books off the shelf Hewson ordered two foreign language books in for me, both of which arrived quickly. It's up to us to use the shops and cafes etc. Regarding the possibility of the church becoming a garden centre, I do wonder about the success of that. I suppose enough people immediately on the doorstep will want plants for their balconies but that will hardly sustain it. |
