Interesting takes Tracie, and yeah I have to agree Holland and Barrett is probably going to be empty most of the time, Some of these decisions seems to be: right, now how thoroughly can we get this wrong? I mean, I love a bookshop, but God knows what he was thinking when he opened on that empty ghost Street.. sold a puppy no doubt, probably based on the success of his kew shop, I guess ( captive bored rich local market ) he thought it would work here, but even from day one, and also with such a limited and odd selection of books, it was never going to fly. Two staff in there sitting around, no customers, probably sold a couple of books a day. What to make of the new Chinatown chop shop? looks completely empty most of the time …with another garden centre across the road? Really? None of the thousands of properties they’re building even have gardens |
