I know a lot of people say that the issues in a general election are vastly different to those locally. However, that was pre Church Street, if Ruth didn't - as she says - back the closure - then she must say so publicly. The local Labour council are hardly a shining example or good representatives of their party, their tenure over the last few years has been marked by interference in local issues they should stay out of and ignoring the things they should be involved in, and where their support would really be appreciated. The Dear Leader has shown himself to be a control freak bully full of his own self-importance, an appalling judge of local issues - Brent Lea - Wheeliegate - Church St. to name but a few, and a man so lacking in judgement he has to surround himself with sycophants who are getting more like him every day, and who seems to kow-tow to the unelected senior officers. None of this helps Ruth who has been a good M.P. by and large, but many will judge her by the company she keeps. |
