If Ruth should lose out - I just wonder if her so-called 'colleagues' who form the majority group on Hounslow council - will take from that a lesson for next May? Generally they would think people get over things in time - but with the partial closure of Linkfied Rd. now on the cards which can only add to the chaos on the roads around here that doesn't seem likely. The biggest failure here is for any of them to recognise that piecemeal buggering about does not work, an overall comprehensive traffic management plan is what was, and still is, needed. As for Guy, of course he voted against the Morrison's development, but not for one minute did he seem to consider he also had a duty towards the other residents that come under the auspices of the IBAF Forum (Isleworth AND Brentford). Otherwise he's just chief cheerleader for Cllr. Curran and simply has tunnel vision when it comes to admitting that they can and do get things disastrously wrong. If the majority of these elected representatives cannot understand that more people wanted Church St. (700 odd) open than those who wanted it closed then when the kick up the ass comes next year they shouldn't be surprised. |
