When will the politicians stop lying to us I wonder. Ruth Cadbury wasn’t neutral on this matter. There is an article in getwestlondon on the 2nd of Feb 2016 where she called for Mr Curran to urgently review the road closure after being approached by a number of constituents and businesses asking to intervene. In the same article she was told off by Mr Curran and advised to keep her nose out of this matter. Subsequently she said she didn’t want to take sides, but was quoted at IBAF as being fully supportive of the closure and, and, in her opinion, it was a “win-win” situation. Win for who? For someone who lives locally, this is either inability to spot the problems it created, or just a plain denial. This is the problem when you have politicians from the same party on both local and national levels running the area with no meaningful opposition and no one to challenge their antics. There is another road closure coming, this time it is Linkfield. |
