| Vanessa Forgive me if I'm a bit slow but are we saying that Ruth has not spoken in favour of the closure? If this is the case then I would advise her to make a very public statement to that effect, and sharpish. I know politicians from the same party do not like to be seen to be contradicting one another, and understandably so, but this is her parliamentary seat which is stake here and the election is only a few weeks away. I personally know of dozens of people who have said they will not vote for Ruth precisely over this issue - some, I'm sure, may not have voted for her anyway but some would have done. The person who made that statement has done her no favours but neither have her colleagues who have said nothing to contradict him. |
