| Hi Jim, Noel McNaboe is my partner and he is working hard to get the pub up and running as soon as possible. Hopefully in a couple of weeks time. We have tried to retain as much of the character as possible and unearthed some parquet flooring and lovely original walls tiles which look as good as new. The fires will be working and a new bar has had to be fitted as the old bar had to be ripped out to avoid business tax charges even though it wasn't open at the time! I was born in Braemar Road, and if you said to me back then that I would be living in the RHG I wouldn't have listened to a word of it. But as it is, I am delighted that we have been given the brilliant opportunity to resurrect part of Brentford's history. The task now is to uphold the reputation that Liz and Rod so deservedly held when they were running it. If you are in the area and there is somebody working in the bar, please knock on the door and have a look if you like. Hopefully look forward to having a pint with you some time :-) |
