| Mark, To offer a round of drinks these days is generousity indeed...especially if there 10 or so buddies nearby! £3 and more a pint does raise the eyebrows of us oldies. The flotilla of white vans coming back from Poland or Europe generally with cases of low priced booze can't help. Let's hope the Royal Horseguardsman is perhaps revived after its "wake" and closure today. Must be odd locking up for the last time. Must admit I've never been inside..it looked like someones front room on the corner there. |
