| Lambert is too busy swilling ale and scoffing curries. He’s an LCC member. He claims it’s just for insurance purposes and that it’s no different to being in the AA or RAC. But he’s being disingenuous, which is a trait amongst the self-righteous Labour types who run things. The LCC is a political pressure group. It boasts about coining the term Low Traffuc Neighbourhood. It produces the policies the likes of Lambert and chums slavishly follow because they foolishly think they will save the world! Or save us from ourselves!! It’s laughable because pretty much every other policy they have is environmental vandalism. Massive construction projects being the prime example, but even their precious bicycles have an environmental cost, produced in coal powered factories in China then shipped over on diesel powered ships. It’s all posturing, though. Cycling doesn’t make you healthier. It doesn’t make you more attractive to the opposite sex. It doesn’t make you more intelligent and it certainly doesn’t improve the neighbourhood. It’s all propaganda pushed by a small minority and lapped up by rather stupid politicians. |
