| Traffic has increased massively on Windmill Road. But Lambert knows that. However being a true LCC disciple he trots our the usual claptrap about healthy lifestyles and making people ‘think twice about driving’. Does he think all the traffic is local residents popping to the shops for a pint of milk? If so he’s more stupid than I thought. Traffic wasn’t backed up on Swyncombe most of the day. There were rush hour peaks, as everywhere, and problems if there were roadworks or and accident. Most of the time the traffic flowed without problem, particularly after the mini roundabout was installed at the Windmill Road junction. If the residents didn’t like it then perhaps they shouldn’t have moved to a main road. And as for cycling being healthy, well it would be if one wasn’t morbidly obese with a penchant for curries and beer. All those calories can cause diabetes and one of the outcomes of that is having a leg amputated. Not easy to cycle then. So a word of advice for those only too happy to lecture others on lifestyle choices. |
