Swyncombe is one of the few roads with off street parking, garaging and homes set well back from the road. It is also a straight road with ancillaries designed for HGVs right from it's construction. Not once has Cllr Lambert acknowledged this. Not once has Hounslow Highways acknowledged this. Yet Windmill Road and South Ealing road - neither of which were built for purpose and thus suffer constant overload and dismissed. Very strange. And if the ULEZ is so welcome why the absolute fear of having a referendum for London Residents? In lesser democracies this would be a must. Why have TfL and its 'researchers not looked at mileage and usage data of all these Old vehicles running around. Is it because it too is a myth. Most older cars still with Valid MoTs record very low mileages and longevity down to good maintenance and minimal usage. Worn out clapped out smoking bangers simply don't exist in significant numbers to make any environmental impact whatsoever. Interesting to that a large number of well maintained low mileage cars deemed simply by age produce Emissions test figures that match cars of just 3 years having their first test. Oddly this data is dismissed as irrelevant by the authorities. Just all smoke and mirrors and more showboating for an artificial gain. If you lie and lie and lie it won't equal a truthful solution. So the lies will carry on as long as this culture of lies rules the roost. |
