No lies, though I can see you disagree with the decision, which is your right. The people in Swyncombe were overwhelmingly in favour though people who don't live there (some in Clitherow, The Ride and Boston Manor are nearby but some live much farther away as is always the case when closing of a short cut is involved) were predominantly against. Councillors have to make a decision based on a variety of factors such as the University of Westminster finding in 2021 that LTNs like Swyncombe have an 85% decrease in pedestrian injuries compared to other areas (to be fair, Swyncombe traffic is only calmed in one direction) https://www.westminster.ac.uk/news/university-of-westminster-researchers-find-low-traffic-areas-have-major-pedestrian-safety-benefits |
