| Are you serious about the 42 storey block,because I asked Theo Dennison yesterday evening! how high buildings would be & he assured the meeting that none would be above 10-11 high.We can't have a monstrous building like that in our Town! Quite frankly I was bitterly disappointed by the outcome,it appeared to me that the only ones to make a profit are the Developers & the Council,when asked about Shops in the High St I was told that the decision is the Council's. What is the point of all this "New"build when we do not have a comprehensive Shopping Centre,more Doctors Surgeries & Schools,it is a wish list that really has not been given thought to. Brentford 60 years ago was a bustling Town with Wharves,Docks,Gas Works,Shops Galore now we have nothing!Brentford's disintegration came about when we ceased to be "Brentford & Chiswick"& became part of Hounslow !!! |
