| Poor Jenny if you've been following this thread you'd be forgiven for wondering if Brentford really is a friendly place to live after all. Well we moved here 9 years ago from Stamford Brook and we love it. We went to The Weir for Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago and it was great, we always get a special welcome at La Rosetta, Sami's Spice does a super takeaway and Watermans is a gem. Local people are really trying to inject life into Brentford with the Sunday market and we certainly try and pop along every week, not just to support them but because it's very pleasant having a chat with neighbours on a Sunday morning over a cup of Neil's excellent coffee. This initiative is typical of the upsurge of energy and enthusiasm for the town. There'll always be naysayers but we think Brentford is actually rather special. |
