| The issue is how it is awarded My beef as well. A single person or couple with 2 children who have never worked or are on benefits get council accommodation quite quickly. A single or working couple with 2 children on minimum wage, not a living wage are told to seek housing in the private sector. So far the later haven’t found any accommodation they can afford to rent in the Hounslow area. So it looks like it's better to throw their jobs in and go onto benefits and let the council pay the big fat rent that private landlords charge. |
