| All that Phil says I think is quite probably the case, it's happened in the past that people have been put up as erstwhile 'paper candidates' in wards that the party does not expect to win, all parties do the same thing. I can't think of any of those people who haven't then done the job to the best of their ability. However, having won the election the poor sods who voted for this lad surely have a right to expect that all their councillors will do their best to represent them. I am sure that is exactly what Theo and Steve do, but that also adds to their workload, I can only say if it were me being expected to carry someone I'd be a very unhappy bunny and would certainly have something to say. |
