I don't read the daily mail or write for them, it's a simple honest observation of the increased danger to all of the public by displaced traffic, and parking caused by wrongly implemented and poorly planned traffic management. I have witnessed a child get hit by a car and have 3 children my self, my comment is not meant to be offensive or alarmist just an honest opinion of my growing concern of the local governments poor handling of this. Think of St Pauls School in Lateward Road or the many other area's where young children are running for busses first thing in the morning. I am not for or against a CPZ in Hamilton Road I'm simply pointing out planning a CPZ on a street by street basis is fundamentally wrong! It doesn't even adhere to the guidelines laid out in the traffic management act it seems. Why can't the local government have a proper traffic flow and CPZ plan for the whole neighbourhood rather than this rather underhand and disruptive and dangerous process of one street at a time! |
