| Simply put, there has been a full, proper and transparent consultation with a large majority vote for CPZ from Hamilton Road residents. As other roads within the area have moved slowly to CPZ, Hamilton Road, as the front line, has had to increasingly bear the brunt of commuters and also residents from other CPZ roads who prefer to park free here. Meanwhile less saturated roads sit behind us. Let us have the right to make our own decisions. Regarding safety, nothing can be worse than the current 'race for a space' that occurs on work day mornings. Yes, the majority of residents in Hamilton Road have had enough and remember it is only 1 hour a day. Out of interest I have not seen any reaction to the move of many roads north of the A4 to CPZ - why pick on Hamilton Road? |
