| First, some corrections to what has gone before. 1.Hamilton Road voted in favour of CPZ at the last consultation in 2010. 2.There was nothing shady or corrupt about this recent vote. Every household was sent a Questionnaire (with a stamped address envelope)and given ample time to respond. 3.Of the 61% who voted ( a very high turnout)74% were in favour of CPZ (are we all "pathetic morons"?) 4. Save perhaps at weekends, parking in Hamilton Road is far from free and easy. It has become a bumper to bumper car park for short and long term commuters and those who live nearby who chose not to buy their own CPZ permits. This is not about wanting to reserve a space outside our properties but about being prepared to pay for the expectation of a parking spot in the same road as we live. Is that so unreasonable? |
