I have just learnt of this awful decision, once again we are harrased by the local council and it's persistent poor planing with regards to CPZ implementation. So 61% of Hamilton road were asked a large proportion said yes. The question is is this legal or in fact fair to consult and implement road by road to a town like Brentford. I think anyone with an ounce of planing can see this is ridiculous, the impact on the surround area's will increase traffic flow and danger to the public. According to this paper by Andrew Nye of Hounslow Council http://democraticservices.hounslow.gov.uk/mgConvert2PDF.aspx?ID=72664 Part 3.7 says "The consultation will ‘run’ for 21 days during which objections or representations to the proposals can be made in writing." So I urge everyone to write in to complain about this CPZ, the basis of any CPZ should be on a town wide or certain radius around area's like the station. Trying to squeeze in a CPZ on a road by road consolation is underhand and not in the interest of local residents of Brentford. Most of the problems we have already is because of the huge area's of the Butts that sits empty every day! |
