Just to get this into context and in the interests of accuracy, the Thornbury Road shopfront issue dates back to my time at LBH, i.e. over 6 years ago. The work was undertaken without any permission/consent from the Council, and was consequently the result of enforcement action following committee agreement to enforce in June 2006 : http://democraticservices.hounslow.gov.uk/(S(k5tigwzury5ymt55ot1w4a45))/mgConvert2PDF.aspx?ID=21291 Since then, a quick search informs me that a retrospective planning application for the continued use of the ground floor premises as a residential unit was refused by Officers in February 2008, and at least one prosecution, quite possibly two (fines of £1500 and £1260) has occurred. Perhaps the ground floor is now simply vacant ?. |
