Unless, of course, Adam or anyone else can provide us with some evidence that Area Committees which are not Labour-run, but whose members still presumably have a duty to their constituents, conduct themselves in a similar fashion. If the misconduct of a few is to be used as an excuse to curtail the powers of communities and those acting on their behalf then chief officers may find an unpleasant Pandora's Box being opened when this whole political culture becomes subject to deeper investigation. |
