| Why can't the council use the existing rules in place around littering/dumping to deal with the Lime (and other) Bikes that are not in registered docking/parking bays. I'm quite sure that if the companies involved start receiving a significant fine (I believe it's £500 in Hounslow) every time a user dumped a bike at random they'd soon come up with a system to manage it better (either making it it more difficult to hack them or, when the bike is legitimately booked, issuing a supplementary charge to the user who was riding it.) If you start hitting them in the wallet where it hurts it'll incentivise them to solve the problem. |
