I think the phrase is 'couldn't give a sh*t' when it comes to carrying out proper investigations these days. I doubt the investigation of this was exhaustive, and I suspect Lime were less than helpful. Of course, if the bike was hacked and being ridden illegally they would have no record of who was in control of it at the time.

Hospitals say they have seen a spike in serious injuries from accidents involving e-bikes, with the riders usually coming off worst, and there have been fatalities due to collisions, one recently in Shepherds Bush.

We are constantly lectured about the dangers of car drivers on London's roads yet the e-bike problem is one that should have been easily avoidable from the outset
