Hounslow Libdems had a busy morning and afternnon meeting Isleworth residents in South Street today. The Church Street closing and the increasingly dangerous levels of air pollution around schools on the Twickenham Road was raised as a concern by many. We had a very encouraging response to our petition to the council for a compulsory hiring order on the Park Road Allotments and had the pleasure of meeting the very impressive ladies from the Isleworth Society. The society has been granted Rule 6 status for the Inquiry on the allotments being conducted by the planning inspectorate and have secured barrister representation for the hearing. The Public Inquiry is due to be held in October this year over a number of days at the Free Church in Boston Manor Road, Brentford. |
