"I again asked the South Street Cafe who seem to be taking the lead on this new market who is behind "Inspiring Isleworth" and received an extremely rude response basically telling me to find out myself despite the fact they are again listed on posters as a main sponsor of this event and are also providing gazebos The London Apprentice would not release any information either Something extremely dodgy about Inspiring Isleworth and a massive local cover up going on" You really have to admire their nerve - more front than Selfridges. If this is a'community association' why keep everything secret from that community? The council insists on groups that apply for grants funding providing a Constitution and also names of committee officers. A constitution would contain the details of committee posts and elections to those and the frequency of such elections among other details - why aren't these published on the 'II' website? Their Twitter page reads more like a homage to the Mayor. This outfit has had, as far as can be ascertained - which isn't much - £10,000 of public money. Everything else is shrouded in secrecy and obfuscation - really what are they hiding? What is it that the proprietor of the South St. Cafe and The Apprentice know that we don't? |
