Yes, the key word ONLY1700, actually now after running for 6 months it's finally got to 2000 names - of which I believe about 600 are local. And yes they handed flyers out to motorists on Church Street before the road was shut and they push and push the petition but I think it is obvious people are just not interested. how do I make this assumption: - the petition to get back the Brentford Lucozade Billboard got to 2000 names in 5 days - it took over 5 months for the Church Street petition to hit 2000. - there are roughly 12000 properties in the TW7 postcode, so let's estimate that at 20,000 adults. 600 local resident from TW7 signed the petition it is not really the majority is it. It's 5% meaning 95% of the residents living in the TW7 postcode either like the road shut or just don't care |
