| How dare you? The fact that you are a resident of Church St. and a party to this possible fait accompli, not to mention a minority of one says it all. These things are not just decided overnight they have to be planned and permissions and regulations gained. I am amazed at the speed this has all been done in the couple of months since December's 'temporary' closure ,these 'artisans markets' are just another product of the gentrification of all areas of London, while ordinary people are shopping more and more at discount stores, fresh breads and organic meats for those that can afford them. And I'll bet a pound to a penny some fingerprints will be found somewhere that lead straight back to the local councillors, or one of them at least. And don't try the bleeding heart charity justification either. Yes, they are both worthy but if you seriously think that anyone is fooled by this sudden concern then you really must think the rest of us are completely stupid. |
