I have to say that I have to park in Lateward road quite often, after all there are only houses on one side of the street, but in Clifden road it is very difficult to park. A lot of residences have dropped kerbs and driveways and almost all of those homes seem to have 2 cars. I can rarely get parked there after 6pm. Brook road it is also quite difficult to park and the bumps and curves on the street make it a dead cert for damage from the larger amount of traffic using it. But some households take the biscuit. There is one near me that have one large car, a second car, a motor cycle and a trailer all in the street. That takes up the space of 3 homes. Now I would not want to prevent them from that. But they will as residents still have a permit for all of that. But I would be paying for a permit too and still getting no space. Apart from the fact that there will be no-where to park if half the streets are not in a zone. |
